We are governed by research ethics policies, so when you participate in any of our studies you can be confident that:

  • the project has been approved for ethical acceptability;
  • you may choose not to answer any question;
  • you may quit the study at any time and for any reason;
  • your information will not be shared with others without your permission;
  • your information is stored in password-protected files on computers located in locked locations;
  • you can contact us to ask questions; and
  • you can complain to the University's ethics office if you feel that you have been mistreated or misled.
